Gruyere Gold Project
Gruyere Gold Mine is a joint venture between Gold Road Resources and Goldfields Australia, located 400 km
northeast of Kalgoorlie in the Goldfields region of Western Australia. Discovered in 2013, the mine commenced
construction in 2017 leading to operations beginning in 2019. The mine has an average annual gold production of
350,000 ounces and a current resource estimate of more than 10 years.
MBS Environmental was engaged to prepare a Mining Proposal (MP) to facilitate Stage 1 development works in 2016. Since then, MBS Environment has been involved in the preparation of MPs up to the current Stage 8, with the most recent Mining Proposal allowing significant expansion of the open pit and extension of the Project life. The MPs approve development of key mine infrastructure including the open pit mine, Processing Plant, Integrated WRD, ROM pad, TSF, solar farm, bore fields, airstrip, camp site and associated mine site utilities amidst an environment with restricted stygofauna species and a groundwater dependent vegetation. MBS Environmental has also prepared the Mine Closure Plans (MCPs) to accompany the MPs.
