Senior Environmental Engineer (Level 2)
Michael is an environmental engineer with over 30 years’ experience in environmental management for the mining and resource industries. Michael has a diverse background, with expertise in surface hydrology and design and application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for mapping and data analysis. Michael also has extensive experience in the preparation of environmental approvals documents for mining and in environmental monitoring and compliance reporting. He has prepared many technical reports including surface hydrology baseline and flood risk assessments, landscape visual impact assessments, closure costings and environmental licences.

- Water management and surface hydrology, including rainfall runoff and hydraulic modelling (RORB & HEC-RAS)
- Mapping and geospatial analysis using Geographic Information Systems, Manifold, QGIS, PostgreSQL and AutoCAD Map. Spatial data aquisition using unmanned aerial vehicles
- Landform Design and volumetric modelling of earthworks and tailings
- Landscape visual impact assessment and 3D visualisation
