Ben is an environmental scientist with over 30 years’ experience in environmental management specialising in operations, compliance, closure and rehabilitation across the corporate resources, consulting and government sectors. With over 16 years of operational site-based experience on remote minesites and water infrastructure projects, Ben has a diverse background including recent expertise in progressive mine closure planning and implementation, producing numerous mine closure plans for iron ore and mineral sands projects, with involvement in the mine closure process at two iron ore mines during operations, closure, decommissioning, post-closure monitoring and establishment of a case for tenement relinquishment.

Ben has extensive experience in annual environmental and compliance reporting for mining and water industry projects. Ben served as the lead consultant for a small gold mining project, generating all necessary approval documents prior to the project going through acquisition by a third party.
