Alan has over 40 years’ professional experience gained in Southern Africa and Australia working within the mining and water industry.  He has worked for mining companies, consulting engineers, environmental consultants, a national water research organisation and a Government Agency.  Projects have covered a range of areas including geological exploration, water resource management, mine closure planning and mine water management.  His work has included study tours of water research institutions in both Canada and Europe. 

His current focus includes mine closure planning, integrated mine water management and environmental due diligence audits.  Alan is a member of the International Association of Hydrogeologists, International Mine Water Association and the WA Closure Planning Practitioners Association.
