Just a friendly reminder from MBS that from 1 July 2015 DMP will be charging the following flat rate online lodgement and assessment fees:
- Mining Proposals (MPs) – $6950
- Programme of Works (PoWs) – $590
Some additional notes on these fees are detailed below.
Exploration PoWs and all MPs not accompanied by a mining lease application (MLA):
- Payment must be made online at time of lodgement.
- Only payment method accepted is credit card.
Prospecting PoWs:
- Still hard copy lodgement.
- Payment required at time of lodgement.
MPs submitted with a MLA:
- Must be submitted within 14 days of the MLA being lodged.
- Assessment fee to be paid along with other payments required for the MLA.
Fee exemptions may apply in the following circumstances:
- Any PoW with 0.25 ha or less in surface disturbance and not located in a reserve.
- Any MP for low impact activities (definition of these is still being finalised).
