It’s been a busy few months for MBS Environmental and it got a bit hectic at the end of 2021, so we are still catching up in 2022!
We are excited to welcome 5 new people to our high calibre team – Orla Tone, Jennifer Hopkins, Erin Marsh, Angela Hollams and Darcey Shepherd.
Orla is our newest Senior Environmental Scientist. Originally from Ireland, Orla now calls Australia home and has spent just shy of 10 years in the bustling town of Kalgoorlie with KCGM. Orla looks forward to applying her site site based knowledge, diversifying her experience across commodities and deepening her approvals experience.
Jennifer (Jen), Erin and Darcey are our newest graduates – we are happy you have chosen MBS Environmental to start your environmental career.
Jen has a background in mine site pit, survey and laboratory technical roles, notably in the NT. Jen recently graduated from an environmental science degree and is diversifying her skillset into infrastructure, currently seconded to Main Roads supporting the Goldfields Esperance Region. Jen’s expert communication and interpersonal skills from her past roles will be invaluable.
Erin completed a Bachelor of Science at the University of Leeds, England and moved down under in late 2021, now calling Perth home. Erin has an evolving interest in environmental management from her travels to some remote areas worldwide, witnessing first hand the growing impacts of human development on the environment. Erin’s international experiences will provide her with a unique perspective as she puts her experience into practice.
Darcey recently competed a Bachelor of Science at The University of Western Australia and comes to MBS Environmental with an interest in Threatened species and environmental law. Darcey looks forward to working on projects that monitor and minimise the impacts of development on ecosystems and conserve biodiversity. Darcey’s ecological and legal interests will be valuable in the work we do at MBS Environmental.
Angela is our new Office Administrator – Document Specialist and comes to MBS Environmental with 14 years experience in similar roles. Angela holds a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology and is currently undertaking a Certificate III in Education Support. We welcome the support for our A-team (A is for Administration, but equally is for Awesome and Amazing) for our busy and growing office.
